Life At Sea

The architectural outcome was a thoughtfully designed two part structure that responds to the unique needs and rituals of these communities, aiming to preserve their cultural heritage while promoting sustainable development.

User Needs Analysis

Through detailed study of the daily lives of fishing communities, from morning beach gatherings to afternoon net repairs, I gathered key insights through interviews. This led to a proposal that meets the needs of my clients, the fishing community.

The Structure

For the fish facility and visitor centre to succeed, materials like wawa wood and bamboo, reflecting the local area, were essential to integrate with the community and enhance daily fish production practices.
